AIDS FACTS
Here at home, in the United States, the AIDS epidemic is alarmingly increasing throughout our towns and neighborhoods. According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, there are over one million Americans living with HIV, a growing increase from 5 years ago. Unfortunately, in some areas of our country, the rates of people living with HIV are greater than some African communities where the epidemic has been most devastating in the world.
